Lilly ~ Senior 2012

I had a blast exploring new locations with Lilly. She's so funny and down to earth, not to mention has a great sense of style. Her mom and cousin came along for the shoot and it was great hanging out with these girls. Despite the crazy West Texas wind, we managed to get some awesome photos. Here are a few of my faves!

Senior sessions are my favorite type of session to do. I don't put a time limit on them. I find that we are all not one thing. We're not just sporty, just girly, just preppy, we sometimes are lots of things all in one. I love the variety I get with seniors.

Towards the end of the session, Lilly's mom asked if she could get get in a few photos with her daughter. OF COURSE! I'm so glad she did. There's nothing like preserving a moment and I know she will cherish these photos for year.

CONGRATS LILLY! I KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO DO GREAT THINGS!

Cantu 1st Trimester ~ 2012

I was so excited when my cousin Rodrigo asked to do a 1st trimester photo session during his visit from Dallas on Easter weekend. He and his lovely wife will become parents in October.
Rodrigo travels for work to Iraq for several months and then is home for a short stay and then back for months. He will be gone for most of the pregnancy and you can just see the excitement these two have. They say being apart makes the heart grow fonder, well he definitely tries to take it all in, cherishing each moment before he left.

I asked if they knew the sex of the baby. There were scheduled to find out within the next couple of weeks, but unfortunately it would be after Rodrigo's return to Iraq. So I had an idea to do photos with both "It's a Girl" and "It's a Boy" for them to have and use to announce when they found out. Sooooo.......

Aren't they just the cutest? Congrats you two! I can't wait to meet your new bundle of joy! God Bless!

Alivia ~ Easter mini 2012

Wow. Here we are nearing June, summer time and I realized I never posted Alivia's Eater session. Having a photographer in the family is probably annoying. I do a session with her for every holiday and mail out her own cards. Here are a few of my faves from Easter and her card. Gosh why do they have to grow so fast?
I often struggle with deciding which one I prefer. Color or black and white?

Abernathy Prom ~ 2012

I had so much fun with some of the students from Abernathy High School at this year's prom. They were so fun and up for anything. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Marlar Maternity

I did Amanda and Jordan's engagement session last year and was so excited when Amanda asked me to also do their maternity session. This was my very 1st maternity session and I had so much fun with this sweet family. Here's a photo from their engagement and then the maternity pics. Thanks Amanda for including me in your special moments in life. I can't wait to meet Miss Andi.

Rodriguez Family

I went to school with Missi and Chris and was shocked to hear.... that they'd never had family photos taken!! Their children are growing so fast and they're sooo adorable. They've been busy with school, work, life, basketball, baseball, music lessons, and on and on so you can imagine how honored I was when they took time out of their crazy lives to stop for a minute and preserve this time in their lives. I had a blast with this family. They are so fun and down to earth and these kids are a hoot! I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

I don't remember what happened here, but to me this looks so natural. I'm sure this must be an every day occurrence in their home lol. Some Daddy's are big KIDS!

This photo was a great surprise when I was up late editing. It sure made me laugh out loud like a crazy person. Thanks Sean for being such a character.

OK, this is better!

Don't you just love big sisters!
